‘The barriers to breakthrough in performance are often embedded in the environment where we need to perform the most’

Kimber. C 2005 MSc. Research.

In my own words :

‘I am a coach, trusted advisor & tactician, enabling meaningful, sustainable change, developing leaders to deliver.

Leadership isn’t just about strategy. It’s about awareness. I believe true transformation emerges when leaders ask themselves questions like, “Does the label enable?” and stay long enough in the silence to hear what echoes back.

I carry the spirit of Gestalt, the flow of Heraclitus, and the quiet defiance of Camus. I believe we are Born to Flow®️, we can learn to surf the flux and that even Sisyphus can smile in the struggle. Awareness is curative. It’s what allows you to cut through the noise, align with your virtue, and make decisions with clarity and conviction. When leaders embrace this kind of awareness, they shift the paradigm of their organizations. Change becomes an opportunity, not a threat.

This is the foundation of transformative leadership coaching and begs the question, are you leading from a place of awareness so that you:

Survive and thrive on your own terms

Can change the way you think, feel & act under pressure.

You can identify 'barriers to breakthrough in your performance' (Kimber.C 2005 MSc.)

Words are words, promises are promises, only performance is reality’ Kimber.C 2005’

Cliff works quietly with senior leaders at the highest levels to remove the constraints that limit performance, judgement, and impact. His role is simple and exacting: to help leaders think clearly, act decisively, and sustain excellence under pressure.

Each engagement is entirely bespoke. Cliff designs and delivers executive coaching and leadership development that reflects the realities of complex organisations, significant responsibility, and high personal stakes. Whether working one-to-one or designing tailored leadership interventions, the focus is always on outcomes that matter: clarity of judgement, strength of leadership presence, and sustained effectiveness.

With a global client base and uncompromising standards, Cliff serves C-suite executives, senior partners, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals who value discretion and seek a trusted, independent coach and tactician. His work spans multiple industries and jurisdictions and is conducted with absolute confidentiality, intellectual rigour, and professional integrity.

Cliff brings over 25 years’ experience coaching leaders at the top of their fields. He has coached more than 250 equity partners, 14 vice-chairs within leading professional services firms, and numerous CEOs and executive leadership teams. His approach is direct, commercially grounded, and deeply personal—combining strategic perspective with a nuanced understanding of human performance.

In elite sport, Cliff has worked alongside Myles Downey with England Rugby coaches during Eddie Jones’ tenure, and in the past supported a Gallagher Premiership head coach, and Rory Teague, former attack coach at Racing 92. He has also appeared on Jonny Wilkinson’s I AM podcast, to talk about, potential, performance and flow.

Cliff holds an MSc in Coaching & Development and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Leadership and the Royal Society of Arts. He has the EMCC designation Master Coach and is a certified Advanced coach in Red2Blue methodology, a performance framework used by the All Blacks, Formula One teams, and UK Armed Forces, amongst others.

Where appropriate, Cliff introduces a broader performance lens, recognising that sustained leadership excellence depends on more than insight alone. Select clients may be supported in understanding the impact of nutrition on cognitive performance, energy, and recovery. In these instances, he works in close alignment with Claire Kimber, nutritional therapist and health coach. This mirrors the approach taken by elite performers globally and is increasingly adopted by senior leaders seeking to operate at their best, consistently and over time.
